Excel to PDF
This tool converts an Excel spreadsheet (.xlsx or .xls) into a PDF — the same export a desktop spreadsheet application performs, with formulas as calculated values and formatting preserved. Free, up to 25 MB, no account, no watermark. This is one of the few tools here that uploads your file, because Office conversion needs a real Office engine a browser cannot run.

Three steps
Excel to PDFin about ten seconds.
- Select your .xlsx or .xls file, or drop it onto the page.
- It uploads to convert — this is disclosed because it is the exception, not the rule, on this site.
- A PDF downloads automatically, one page per screen of each sheet.
Why use this converter
Built for real spreadsheets, not just one sheet.
A free online Excel to PDF converter that handles multi-sheet workbooks, wide tables and existing print-area settings the way desktop spreadsheet software does.
- Native spreadsheet exportThe same operation as printing to PDF from spreadsheet software — high fidelity, not a browser approximation.
- Every sheet includedMulti-sheet workbooks convert in full, each sheet starting a new page.
- Deleted after conversionYour file is removed from our server the moment the download starts.
- Formulas as valuesCalculated results carry over, the same way printing a spreadsheet does.
Wide sheets and page breaks
Columns that do not fit the page width wrap onto additional pages — exactly what you would see printing directly from spreadsheet software. If the file already has a print area or manual page breaks configured, those are respected rather than overridden.
Need to pull data out of a PDF instead?
That is the reverse problem — turning a PDF table back into spreadsheet data — and it needs a different approach entirely, not this Office engine. It is not live on this site yet.
Word documents and slides
This page is specifically for spreadsheets. For Word documents, use Word to PDF; for presentations, PowerPoint to PDF.
The question everybody asks
Is it really free?
Yes, with one honest exception to how the rest of this site works. Every other tool here runs entirely in your browser — your file never leaves your device. Excel↔PDF conversion needs a real Office engine, which a browser cannot run, so this one tool uploads your file to a server we operate, converts it, and deletes it the moment your download starts.
There is still no account, no watermark and no payment step — just a 25 MB file size limit, because unlike the browser-based tools, this is the one operation on the site that costs us money to run.
FAQ
Questions peopleactually ask.
How do I convert an Excel file to PDF for free?
Drop your .xlsx or .xls file onto this page. It uploads to convert — see "Is it really free?" below for why — and a PDF downloads automatically.
Will formulas and formatting be preserved?
Formulas convert to their calculated values (a PDF has no live formulas, same as printing), and number formatting, borders and colours carry over. This is a native export, the same operation as printing to PDF from spreadsheet software, so fidelity is high for the vast majority of files.
What happens with a spreadsheet that has multiple sheets?
Every sheet in the workbook is included, each starting on a new page in the order the sheets appear in the file.
Does a wide spreadsheet get cut off in the PDF?
Columns that do not fit the page width wrap onto additional pages, the same behaviour you would see printing directly from Excel. If your file has a print area or page-break setup already configured, that is respected.
Is there a file size limit?
Yes — 25 MB. Unlike the rest of this site, this conversion runs on a server we pay for per use, so there is a stated limit instead of an unlimited, unwatched upload endpoint.
