Why use this tool

Your signature,on the page, in seconds.

A free online PDF signer with no app to install and no account. Useful for the everyday case — initialling a lease, signing a form, approving a document — where a scanned pen signature is all that is needed.

  • Draw, type or uploadDraw with a mouse, finger or stylus; type your name in a handwriting-style font; or upload a photo of your real signature.
  • Place it anywhereClick any page to drop your signature there. Drag to move it, drag the corner to resize it.
  • Sign in more than one placeAdd an initial to every page and a full signature on the last one, all in the same pass.
  • A visual signature, stated plainlyThis places an image of your signature — it is not a certificate-based digital signature. See the FAQ.

Need to add text or cover something up too?

The PDF editor has the same signature tool built in, alongside text, highlight and white-out — useful if signing is only part of what the document needs.

The question everybody asks

Is it really free?

Yes. No account, no trial, no watermark on the output, no cap on file size or page count, and no payment step between you and the download button.

It is free because it is cheap to run: your signature is drawn and placed by your own browser, so there is no upload, no server doing the work and no storage to pay for. That is also why the privacy answer is short — the file never leaves your device.

FAQ

Questions peopleactually ask.

Is this a legally binding electronic signature?

It places an image of your signature onto the page — the same idea as printing a page, signing it and scanning it back in, just faster. It is not a certificate-based digital signature with identity verification, so if a specific document legally requires that (some contracts, some jurisdictions), use a service built for that instead.

Can I use my actual signature, not a generic one?

Yes, three ways: draw it with your mouse, finger or stylus; type your name and it renders in a handwriting-style font; or upload a photo or scan of your real signature.

Can I sign a PDF on my phone?

Yes. The draw tab works with a fingertip the same way it works with a mouse.

Can I add my signature to more than one page?

Yes. Once your signature is ready, click anywhere on any page to place a copy of it there. Click again elsewhere to add another.

How is this different from the PDF editor?

It is the editor's draw/image tool with a narrower, sign-first workflow. If you also need to add text or cover something up on the same document, the full PDF editor can do that too.

Does the signature stay editable after I download the PDF?

No. Once placed and downloaded, it is baked into the page like any other image — the same as a printed page that was signed by hand and scanned back in.
