Split PDF
This tool splits a PDF into multiple files, entirely in your browser. Mark where you want each cut — or split into every single page in one click — then download: one PDF if you made no cuts, or a ZIP with every part if you did. No signup, no watermark, no file uploaded.

Split a PDFin about ten seconds.
- Select your PDF, or drop it onto the page. It opens in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
- Click the scissors icon between any two pages to mark a cut, or use a preset like "Split every page".
- Click download. One cut or more downloads a ZIP of every part; no cuts downloads the same single PDF.

Only need to pull a few pages out, not cut the whole thing up?
Extract PDF Pages is built for that — pick the pages you want and get back just those, in one file.
The question everybody asks
Is it really free?
Yes. No account, no trial, no watermark on the output, no cap on file size or page count, and no payment step between you and the download button.
It is free because it is cheap to run: your PDF is split by your own browser, so there is no upload, no server doing the work and no storage to pay for. That is also why the privacy answer is short — the file never leaves your device.
FAQ
Questions peopleactually ask.
Can I split a PDF into single, one-page files?
Yes — use the "Split every page" preset and every page comes out as its own PDF, bundled into one ZIP download.
Can I choose exactly where the split happens?
Yes. Click the scissors icon on the right edge of any page to mark a cut there. Mark as many or as few as you need.
Do I get one file back, or several?
If you haven't marked any cuts, you get the same single PDF back. As soon as one cut is marked, the download becomes a ZIP file containing each part as its own PDF.
Is there a limit on file size or page count?
No. Splitting happens entirely in your browser, so there is no upload size cap and no daily limit.
Does splitting reduce quality or change page order?
No. Each output file is an exact copy of the pages it contains — nothing is re-rendered, re-compressed or reordered.
Can I split more than one PDF at the same time?
Split one at a time — pick a PDF, mark its cuts, download. If you need to recombine parts from different files afterward, Merge PDF puts them back together.
